Official website: hackwise.org

HackWise is a non-profit, free online hackathon organised by students for students who are passionate about programming and how it can make the world a better place. Our goal is to encourage discussions and inspire a range of unique and innovative projects to help advance the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Each year we give hackers 3-4 SDGs to develop a solution to one or more of them! The winning codes will be eligible to win prizes.

This year, HackWise will be online, therefore anyone around the world can join, no matter your skills! Our hackathon will contain workshops, ranging from beginner-level to more advanced concepts, for all to learn more and advance their skills! We also will host a series of mini-events to further engage hackers!

Eligibility

  • Participants must be students between the ages of 12 - 18 years old at the time of registration
  • Open to all students around the world!
  • Individuals may register, we will help you find a team closer to the date.
  • Teams of 2-5 may register

Hackers must innovate and create a solution related to one or more of the SDGs chosen for this years' theme. They can use software, hardware or both for their solution. In the submission, provide a 500 word max. description of your solution and the problem it solves, as well as a 3-5 minute video pitch showing the solution in action.
